Walk through the halls of DBC late at night and you’re likely to find that one light is still on. It belongs to Deneen McClelland, DBC’s Controller. She is often burning the midnight oil for good reason—she has a lot of responsibilities. Not only does Deneen oversee the day-to-day finances of a bustling and growing agency, but she also is responsible for the overall financial management, as well as agency processes. To get it all done—and still find time to sleep—she relies on her extensive experience working for companies like Parkway Corporation, ARAMARK and over 10 years overseeing management systems at LYRASIS, a membership organization for libraries. When she’s finally done for the night, she enjoys coming home, relaxing on the couch with her toy poodle, Coco-Chanel, and watching a scary movie. And just like at work, she still keeps the light on.
